The school year is wrapping up! One of the final events for our young artists each year is the Japanese Art Exchange. Manitowoc, WI is the "sister city" of Kamogawa, Japan, and we have held a yearly student art exchange since... well, before I was here! Special pieces of art from each of our schools are chosen as the ambassadors to be shipped overseas. After the work is displayed, it is presented to the participating artists from far away.
We always enjoy seeing the work from the Japanese students, and reading what they have to say about their work!
Join us as we discover, learn, and create! This Art Education blog is intended as a resource for educators and a showcase of student learning in Manitowoc, WI.
